Install Docker and miniKube and Join Imagine Everything CTO Richard Kellar for a hands-on
lab-style session. Learn how containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration
tools such as Kubernetes (via miniKube) can provide automated, consistent deployments in
school IT environments.
Note: Having a laptop with Docker and miniKube installed ahead of time would be
advantageous.
In this session we will explore microservices architecture and their application in web development. This talk will cover the concepts of microservices, comparing them to monolithic architectures, and demonstrate a simple API. Attendees will gain insights into the advantages and challenges of microservices, key technologies like Docker, Kubernetes, and database strategies. The presentation will conclude with a recap and resources for further learning to provide an overview of this modern architectural approach.
Student Aware is what started it all and remains our most impactful project. In this session, we will be diving into aspects of best practices and sharing success. We’ll also be looking at what's new and upcoming in our ongoing mission to help identify and support vulnerable and at-risk students.
